Unfortunately, I was the only Austin Metblogger who made it. I think the other Austinites are contending with the same things we are: out-of-town guests, enjoying the amazing weather or hibernating until this whole <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sxsw.com\">SXSW<\/a> thing blows over.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seanbonner.com\" target=\"metup\">Sean<\/a>, who we met last night and dragged to <a href=\"http:\/\/rutamaya.net\/\" target=\"metup\">Ruta Maya<\/a> for a drink before turning in,  I got to meet <a href=\"http:\/\/tripindicular.com\/\" target=\"metup\">Lauren<\/a> and Matt from <a href=\"http:\/\/chicago.metblogs.com\/\" target=\"metup\">Chicago<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/neekole.com\/\" target=\"metup\">Nicole<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/sf.metblogs.com\/\" target=\"metup\">San Francisco<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.illusioned.org\/\" target=\"metup\">Hesam<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/houston.metblogs.com\/\" target=\"metup\">Houston<\/a>. Everyone was very cool.<\/p>\n<p>The family and I were a little late to the meetup because I didn&#8217;t expect a massive jam up on Lamar heading south over the town lake bridge. I don&#8217;t if it was just the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zilkerkitefestival.com\/\" target=\"metup\">kite festival<\/a> or if there was something else going on at Palmer\/Auditorium Shores. I managed to scoot over to South First and meet everyone reasonably on time at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bouldincreek.com\/index.htm\" target=\"metup\">Bouldin Creek Coffeehouse<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a couple of shots of Sean and Nicole geeking out over his Treo 650.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/sean.jpg\" alt=\"Sean and the object of his affection\" height=\"240\" width=\"320\"\/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/sean_nicole2.jpg\" alt=\"Sean and Nicole\" height=\"240\" width=\"320\" \/><\/div>\n<p>All in all, a great day to be out and about even for Austin.
