I forgot how draining it is to be woken out of a dead sleep several times a night. It&#8217;s not too bad now since I&#8217;m off work and can nap some during the day, but when I go back to work, I think it&#8217;s going to be tough. Lily&#8217;s temperament is definitely not the same as Henry&#8217;s at this age. She&#8217;s much quicker to get upset, but also quicker to calm down.<\/p>\n<p>I had a classic clueless parent moment last night. She started fussing and got more and more worked up, probably the worst I&#8217;ve seen her so far. We started running through the options. Hungry? No. Gassy? No. Too hot\/too cold? No. Dirty diaper? No. Then I noticed that her cord stub had disappeared. I started searching through her footed sleeper and found it in one of the feet. It&#8217;s dried up (thanks to goldenseal) and must have been poking her. Once I removed it, she looked at me like, &#8220;I was using my somethings-poking-me-and-I-don&#8217;t-like-it cry. Thank god you finally figured that out, dummy. &#8221; Yep.<\/p>\n<p>I just posted new pictures of the week for both kids.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re slowly adapting to life with a newborn again.
