With Halloween approaching, there’s a few notable DVD releases that I’m not going to be able to pass up.<\/p>\n

  1. Kolchak – Night Stalker<\/a>\"\" – Finally, they’re releasing the entire series on DVD on October 4th. This one is always touted as having a lot of influence on X-Files, which is obvious. I used to love staying up late on Friday nights (or was it Saturday?) and watch these on CBS in the early ’80s. It’ll be nice to be able to see them whenever I want. My favorites are the episode with the Rakshasa, the one with the swamp monster and one of the final ones with the dinosaur-like creature where Kolchak is riding around in an underground maze of corridors in a golf cart.<\/li>\n
  2. High Tension<\/a>\"\" – I haven’t seen this yet, but the reviews have all been amazing and they’re releasing it uncut, thankfully. It arrives a week after Night Stalker, October 11th.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
