{"id":1736,"date":"2007-06-07T13:28:13","date_gmt":"2007-06-07T18:28:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/austin.metblogs.com\/2007\/06\/07\/austin-past-and-present-dvd-available\/"},"modified":"2007-06-07T13:28:13","modified_gmt":"2007-06-07T18:28:13","slug":"austin-past-and-present-dvd-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thechunk.com\/blog\/archive\/austin-past-and-present-dvd-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Austin Past and Present DVD Available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t remember if I first saw this on <a href=\"http:\/\/aprendizdetodo.com\/austin\/?item=20040429\">Prentiss&#8217;s blog<\/a> or if I heard about it somewhere else more recently, but, like him, I just got an update e-mail from their mailing list notifying me that  the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.austinpastandpresent.org\/\">Austin Past and Present<\/a> project now has DVDs available on their website for $24.95 and also at Bookpeople, the store at City Hall and the Austin History Center.<\/p>\n<p>It looks like a really great project. I&#8217;m not sure how much they&#8217;ve incorporated it into local libraries or schools yet. I&#8217;ll have to remember to ask the next time I&#8217;m in my local branch library and when the kids go back to school in the fall. I may just go ahead and pick up a copy to have at home.
