I was hoping to find that at least one member of the Austin <a href=\"http:\/\/www.drafthouse.com\">Alamo Drafthouse empire<\/a> appropriately commemorating the occasion and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.drafthouse.com\/lakecreek\/frames.asp\">Alamo Lakecreek<\/a> is the only one showing the proper reverence.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to that crap re-make of <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/title\/tt0075005\/\">The Omen<\/a> (trust me, go rent the original instead, though I must commend the casting of David Thewlis in the part originally played by David Warner), they&#8217;ve got a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.drafthouse.com\/online_tix\/show_details.asp?show_id=3412\">special screening<\/a> of The Exorcist at 7:30pm tonight. Alamo South Lamar gets a pass because they&#8217;re <a href=\"http:\/\/www.originalalamo.com\/online_tix\/show_details.asp?show_id=2759\">hosting Dionysium tonight<\/a>, coincidentally this marks two years for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dionysium.com\">monthly gathering of the hoi polloi<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>P.S. Can somebody brave enough to endure the re-make tell me how they handle Damien&#8217;s birthday? It&#8217;s 6\/6\/66 in the original, so it sort of worked out with the release of the movie in 1976. Sort of.
